PDFtone is a browser-based PDF workspace. You can merge, reorder, mark up, sign, compress, and convert PDFs (and other file types) without installing anything or creating an account.

No. PDFtone runs in your web browser. Once the page has loaded, most tools continue to work even if you go offline, since processing happens locally.

PDFtone works in any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on both desktop and mobile.

No. PDFtone processes everything in your browser using your device's own resources. Files are read into memory, edited, and exported without being sent over the network.

Nothing is stored. Unless you're signed in and choose to save a project, everything in the workspace exists only in that browser tab and is gone once it's closed.

If you opt into cloud sync, the project file itself is stored on our servers so it can be opened from another device. It's entirely optional and off by default.

You can bring in PDFs, Word documents (.docx), spreadsheets (.xlsx, .xls, .csv), and images (PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, BMP). Each one is converted into pages you can arrange alongside the rest.

Each plan has a per-file page limit (see the pricing page). Within that limit, the practical ceiling is your device's available memory.

PDF→Word and PDF→Excel conversion rebuilds the document from the text positions on each page. Complex layouts (multi-column text, unusual spacing) may come out slightly differently than the original.

No — the free tools are available immediately with no sign-up. An account is only needed for saved projects, cloud sync, and team features.

Once logged in, head to your dashboard's billing section to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel. Changes take effect from your next billing date.

Account deletion is available from your dashboard's account settings. This permanently removes your saved projects and personal details.
